What We Believe
Rockhaven Church is a Bible-based, non-denominational church. Eternal life is a gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit as listed in 1 Cor. 12 are for the church today, and are activated in the life of the believer through the subsequent experience of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. All believers need the discipleship and nurturing that can only be received by connecting with a local church.
How We Worship
The mode of worship at Rockhaven Church is lively, joyful, and
worshipful. Freedom of expression,
and active participation is encouraged, through singing, the
spontaneous lifting of hands, clapping,
dancing, etc.. However, some choose to worship quietly and are
free to do so, as well. Non-judgment
and liberty are esteemed. The style of music is very
contemporary; the music team being composed
of singers, percussion, guitars, and keyboard. Our aim is to
experience the awareness of the presence
of God through praise and worship, thus setting the stage for
the Gifts of the Spirit to operate, and
for the sharing of God's Word.
Church History
Rockhaven Church was founded in 1985 by Dr. Joe B. and Brenda
McGinnis. After meeting in homes
and storefront locations for several years, five acres of land
were donated, plus funds and finances
to build our present worship facility in 2001. We anticipate
great blessings and growth for our future.
Our Mission
The mission of Rockhaven Church is to help people to connect
with God and His gift of eternal life in
Christ Jesus: through the teaching and preaching of the Gospel
of the Kingdom as revealed in Scripture;
by providing ongoing opportunities for corporate worship; by
providing a nurturing environment for believers
to connect with people in friendship and ministry; and to
provide oversight to believers as they connect
with their destiny and God's purpose for their lives.
